This notice, pursuant to Art. 13 of the GDPR – EU Regulation 2016/679 and Art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the “Privacy Code”), describes how this website owned by REENGINE SRL is managed with regard to the processing of personal data of users who visit it, also in accordance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Decision of 10 June 2021 “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools” (the “Decision”).
This notice is provided only for the website mentioned above and not for other websites or sections/pages/areas owned by third parties that the user may visit via specific links within it.

1. COOKIES AND THEIR CLASSIFICATION

1.1. Cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are sent by the website visited by the user to the user’s device (usually to the browser), where they are stored so the device can be recognised on the user’s next visit. On each subsequent visit, cookies are sent back from the user’s device to the site.
Each cookie generally contains: the name of the server that sent the cookie; the expiry date; and a value, usually a randomly generated unique number. The web server that sends the cookie uses this number to recognise you when you return to a site or navigate from one page to another.
Cookies may be installed not only by the operator of the site visited by the user (first-party cookies), but also by a different site that installs cookies through the first site (third-party cookies) and is able to recognise them. This happens because the visited site may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the visited site.
Based on their purpose, cookies are classified as technical cookies and statistical/profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are those used solely to “carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service” (see Art. 122, para. 1, of the Privacy Code). In particular, such cookies are typically used to enable efficient navigation between pages, store user preferences (language, country, etc.), perform IT authentication, manage the shopping cart or allow online purchases, etc. Some of these cookies (called essential or strictly necessary) enable functions without which certain operations would not be possible. Under the aforementioned Art. 122(1) of the Privacy Code, the use of technical cookies does not require users’ consent.
Analytics cookies are treated as technical cookies if used directly by the site operator to collect aggregated information on the number of users and how they visit the site. These cookies allow website owners/managers to understand how users interact with site content for optimisation purposes.
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are used to track the user’s browsing, analyse their behaviour for marketing purposes and create profiles on their tastes, habits, choices, etc., so as to deliver targeted advertising messages related to the user’s interests and in line with the preferences shown during online browsing. Such cookies may be installed on the user’s device only if the user has given consent using the simplified methods indicated in the Decision.
Based on their duration, cookies are classified as persistent, which remain stored on the user’s device until they expire (unless removed by the user), and session cookies, which are not stored permanently on the user’s device and disappear when the browser is closed.
Which cookies does this site use?

In any case, users can manage their preferences for online behavioural advertising via the website www.youronlinechoices.com/it, which lists the main behavioural advertising providers. Through that site, users can disable or enable all companies, or alternatively adjust their individual preferences for each company.
How can cookies be disabled/changed?
To modify cookie preferences already expressed, there is a dedicated link on the site to the control panel located at the side of pages or in the site footer (bottom section).
By default, almost all web browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. You can, however, change this default configuration via your browser settings. Disabling/blocking cookies or deleting them may hinder the optimal use of some areas of the site, prevent the use of certain services and make browsing slower.
Cookie management settings depend on the browser used. Usually, cookie configuration is done from the “Preferences”, “Tools” or “Options” menu.
